In a wide range of application areas, such as fitness monitoring, well being, emotional background monitoring, sleep prediction, sports medicine and remote health monitoring, etc. devices of different types and qualities are being used worldwide, embedded in various software environments.

In some cases, the success of the product depends on the biosignal monitoring hardware, sometimes on the analytical algorithm, and at other times the complexity of the software interface.
